07-The Aethervox: Von Schill, Gaining Grounds, Fluff

Here we are with Episode 7. We have tons of great stuff this episode, with some very special contributors. Adrian (aka Rathnard) is back with his regular segment – this time he’s discussing Von Schill; Craig (aka UKrocky) and Jo (aka Neverata) of The Bayou Broadcast discuss Gaining Grounds; Steve (aka Karn) puts out an emotional plea for help with Pull My Finger; and we have the continuation of Confessions of an Aspiring Resurrectionist by Mike (aka hakoMike). We also have the usual rambling from Ian and Julian. Hope you enjoy it.

    Great show as always :)

Jo is definitely a woman. She’s got a woman’s voice and speaks like an adult. A small boy could perhaps have a voice a little bit like hers but wouldn’t talk like she does.

    Hi guys,

The Aethervox is the best wargames podcast on the net. Most Warhammer podcasts are just 1.5 hrs of “then I rolled this, then he charged that, then he rolled this, then I charged that…”

I love the fiction, and the ‘Music movies and other media’. I remember one of you read an essay on women in Malifaux. And the Doppleganger section ins cool, though it is a lot of work, perhaps just nominate some cool models if you/listeners see them that people might want to try to work into their crew. Like the Helldorado Wormpile.

You guys also keep the language cool with no profanity or blaspheming. which actually sets you apart. good.

Not too sure about the last segment with Jo and that other guy. They said a few interesting things, but there was alot of rambling. I only managed to listen to the first half then gave up.

I quite like the split fortnightly shows too.

~the editing is smooth too: the radiostatic and the music to suit each master/topic you cover, Tom waits ‘what’s he building?’. these are details that make the show a cut above the rest.

I also like that you guys arn’t experts in the game, the early shows are especially funny in this respect.

Do Wyrd give you any recognition for the extra cash you earn for them by plugging their product so effectively? they couldn’t buy advertising like this.

I hope that The Aethervox continues for many years. Thank you.
